Our qualified nurse administers flu shots to patients aged 16 and older; an adult must accompany children under 18. Children between 6 months and 15 years should visit a pediatrician for vaccination.

Flu Vaccination for Children from 6 months to 15 years

Vaccination against the flu is essential for babies and young children, as they are at a higher risk for severe complications. We recommend getting a flu shot annually, as only the most recent vaccination protects against the expected strains of the influenza virus. Children between the ages of 6 months and 15 years should visit a pediatrician before receiving the flu shot to ensure that the vaccination is safe and effective, which is included in the vaccination price. SIDE EFFECTS OF THE FLU SHOT

  • Minor soreness, swelling or redness at the site of injection
  • Rare with our particular vaccine, which is an inactivated split virus and cannot cause the flu: fever, weakness, trembling, fatigue, headache, sweating, muscle aches
  • Very rare: pain along nerve, convulsions, thrombocytopenia, allergic reaction, vasculitis, neurological abnormalities
